What is something people in your industry/niche have to deal with that you want to fix? 

There is always a disconnect between the teams on the field and the design/office teams. I love to be the connection between the two and help them to work together as a team.

What do you do at Spaces Renewed?

I come alongside the team from the beginning of the project until the end. I work with the design team and the field team to make sure that the process flows from one to the other well. I get bids, create design presentations, and help with the schedule. I also work on file structure, spreadsheets, and the organization of projects.

What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? 

I grew up watching homes being built. My family has owned a Home Development company in Arizona (where I grew up), so I have always been involved in different aspects of building/construction. As an adult, I have worked on Federal Properties in project management and just finished my Project Management Certification.

I have no idea what this means.

What do you like about working at Spaces Renewed?

My absolute favorite part is getting to know the people behind the project. When working on different tasks, I feel I can do a better job if I know the people and what is important to them. It allows me to put my whole heart into what I do (even if it is just researching plumbing fixtures or countertop material).

What’s your background? 

I grew up mostly in Arizona and went to college at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I obtained my Human Services and Counseling degree and elementary teaching credentials. After teaching for a semester, I got an offer to teach at a private school in Carlsbad, CA. I had always dreamed of moving to California and living by the beach, so I jumped at the opportunity. After being in CA for a few years, I reconnected with a close friend who I knew from high school. He had moved from Arizona and lived just a few miles from me. We married in 2009 and now have four children (ages 12, 11, 8, and 7). We moved to Tennessee for a few years but missed CA so much that we moved back in 2018. I have been busy homeschooling my kiddos for the past few years (and still am), but I am grateful for the opportunity to work at Spaces Renewed and be challenged differently.

What are the values that drive you? 

My heart is to serve others in whatever capacity I have. At Spaces Renewed, people invest a lot of time and resources into their homes. They are entrusting us to utilize those resources in the best way possible. I desire to come alongside the team and help make this process flow smoothly and the best one possible for the client.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? 

I love exploring the outdoors with my husband and kids, homeschooling my four kiddos, serving at church, traveling, and enjoying the beach and Pilates.
